What price should I set for my document?

Updated this week

No stress, you don’t need to guess the perfect price right away. A few quick checks will get you there.

1) Look at your document’s value

The more complete and useful your document is, the more it’s worth. Ask yourself:

  • How much time does this save another student?

  • Is it clear, well-structured, and detailed?

  • Does it include info that’s hard to find online?

A full summary or practice bundle is usually worth more than a few loose notes.

2) Compare with similar documents on Stuvia

Search for documents like yours (same course/topic/level). This helps you see:

  • what other sellers charge

  • what students are willing to pay

Tip: you don’t have to be the cheapest. Quality can cost a little more.

3) Test and adjust

You can change your price anytime, and it updates immediately.

  • Not selling much? Try lowering it a bit.

  • Selling quickly? Your price is probably right.

Students are happy to pay for quality that saves them real time and effort, find a price that feels fair and attractive.
